The Victorian Visitors, by Alfons L Korn

Published in 1958 by the University of Hawaii Press, this 351 page hardcover (235 x 195 cm) has been covered in clear plastic for protection. This is a book of journal entries written in the 1860s. It contains “accounts of Hawaii through English eyes and of England through Hawaiian eyes”. Professor Korn, the editor of this work, has added “valuable introductions and illuminating commentary.” Excellent condition except for a very small tear at the top of the inside back cover.
