Shepard’s War, the Man Who Drew Winnie-the-Pooh

$18.00

This large (22.5 x 28.5 cm) hardcover book with intact dust jacket is “an intimate, illustrated narrative of the First World War as seen through the mainly unpublished work of E.H. Shepard, who served as a frontline officer from 1915 to the end of the war.” Shepard is, of course, mostly known for his illustrations of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh and Kenneth Graeme’s Wind in the Willows. The dust cover looks frayed but that’s just artistic value. Published by LOM Art in 2015, and excellent condition throughout, this is great value at $18.
