Ida S. Scudder of Vellore – Pauline Jeffery

Hannah, daughter of Colonel and Sarah Scudder of Princeton, New Jersey, and wife of the Rev. Eli F. Cooley, died 6th of April 1817, at the age of 29 years, and on her tombstone at Cherry Valley Long Island, are inscribed the following words which are prophetic of her kinswoman of a later generation – Ida Sophia Scudder
