Published by Thomas Nelson and Sons, probably 1895. According to Wikipedia, “Mary Helena Cornwall Legh was a British Anglican missionary, who late in life devoted herself to the welfare, education and medical care of leprosy patients in Kusatsu, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.” She was born in May 1857 and died in December 1941.
The cover is worn and faded, the inside cover has previously been repaired with sticky tape, the back cover is coming apart, an award sticker has been removed from the inside cover. But this is still a beautiful old book.
