This 13 x 19 cm hardcover book with no dust jacket was first published by William Heinemann Ltd in 1928, this 395 page edition was published in 1939. The story revolves around the life of a small-town doctor who is training to be a surgeon when his father dies. Larger than usual print size, the book has brown spotting on page edges but generally very good condition.
