$8.00

On 12th January, 1899, in a fearsome storm, a heroic crew from Lynmouth carted their lifeboat 24 km overland and in steep terrain to Porlock Bay, from where they hoped to be able to relaunch and carry out a heroic rescue of a ship called Forrest Hall. This small (12.5 x 19 cm) hardcover book, no dust jacket, tells the story in 111 pages. With a detailed map of the event, and line drawings, the book was published by Heinemann Educational Books Ltd in 1969. Apart from minor scuffing on the edges of the cover, this book is in excellent condition.
